It is no surprise to anyone that Apple is among the companies whose software and hardware products become extremely often a reason for inspiration among its competitors in the mobile market, and this is most noticeable among some of the Chinese brands such as Xiaomi and Vivo. It is Vivo that has approached exclusively Innovative to part of the design of its next-generation operating system – OriginOS 6.
As we can see in a demo video of the upcoming OriginOS update that has appeared online, the company’s operating system seems to have made quite a few key borrowings from iOS 26, and this is especially evident in the shape of the buttons and the transparent aesthetic that Apple introduced with the arrival of this year’s version of iOS.
In the video, you can see a translucent clock, control center, folders, notifications, and even wallpapers, which have the same 2D to 3D effect that we can find with the Spatiak Scenec feature on the iPhone.
The inspiration from the new Liquid Glass look on iOS is definitely visible, although Vivo mentions that their main source of ideas is… water, and according to the Chinese giant, everything in OriginOS now moves extremely smoothly, just like water.
Vivo isn’t the only Chinese manufacturer to draw ideas from Apple. Xiaomi recently unveiled its HyperOS 3.0, which, if you didn’t know what you were actually looking at, could easily be mistaken for iOS 26, due to the many similarities and frankly copied ideas that Xiaomi used in making its operating system.
