Video editing: Adobe brings Premiere Pro on the iPhone

Adobe brings his video editing premiere Pro on the iPhone. The app in the App Store should be pre -ordered from now on. In the case of pre -orders, the app is automatically downloaded to the device on the release day. Adobe is expected to publish it at the end of September. An Android version should follow; Adobe did not name a time frame for this.

According to Adobe’s very tight versions, the mobile app can generally be used free of charge and ad-free. No Adobe account or log-in is required for editing, local storage of projects or exporting videos.

Premiere Pro offers a multi-lane timeline on the iPhone as in the desktop application. The app supports 4K HDR material and, according to the manufacturer, an unlimited number of video, audio and text traces. Practically, the mobile hardware and the limited screen pitch should set limits that are too ambitious.

Videoschaffeners are supposed to start projects on their smartphone and then continue on the desktop. Adobe’s exchange platform frame.io is predestined for this. In order to send projects from the mobile app to the desktop version of Premiere Pro, users have to register with an Adobe account that includes a premiere pro subscription and cloud memory.

Your own content can be created using the generative KI Firefly. Generative AI functions require the purchase and use of paid firefly credits.

After registration with an Adobe ID, users receive access to creative assets such as pictures, stickers, music, video clips and sound effects. The “Enhance Speech” tool is intended to make audio tracks in studio quality from recordings in loud environments. In addition, the app generates automatic subtitles on request.

Finished videos should be exported for Tikok, YouTube shorts and Instagram. The automatic cutter known from the mother’s application always keeps actors in the picture, for example when changing the aspect ratio from 16: 9 to 9:16.

The tools for improving the audio track, generation of subtitles and content -preserving trimming are also likely to be a paid functions. So far, Adobe has not commented on a request.
