TVOs and more: Video app Infuse Streamt from iCloud

The video player Infuse, with which almost every media format can be reproduced on Apple devices, has received a small but fine update. With Version 8.2which has been available since this week, Apple TV sets will be enabled for the first time streaming access to content stored in Apple’s iCloud Drive. There are also improvements in playback quality (with AI-supported upscaling) and the use of the app by several users in the household.

Anyone who holds videos and other media files in iCloud can now not only download them to infuse to reproduce them, but stream them directly, i.e. play without storage consumption. This can also be done under TVOs. However, you first have to generate links on another device (such as iPhone, iPad or Mac), which you then n can add the left section of Infuse. The reason: Apple currently does not provide browsing in iCloud Drive (as well as file systems in general) on Apple TV devices.

User profiles for infuse are also new. This gives each family or household member of their own access to the app if that is desired- including network resources, layout, viewing story, ratings or youth protection settings. The profile uses Apple’s in -house profile technology Under TVOS (which should be easier to use in TVOS 26 in the future) and also knows the assignment to the respective iCloud account.

If you want to play videos with less resolution, you should benefit from improved AI-upscaling on Apple TV 4K devices. It should deliver “sharper, clearer pictures”. However, only devices with A16 or higher quality can use-this will be interesting for Apple TV devices if they may be brought to a more recent social stand this year. Further innovations in Infuse 8.2: In the future, a film or a series Metacritic rating will be displayed, you can The brightness of HDR subtitles Set and use deepinks via TMDB IDS.

Firecore sells infuse in several variants, in the monthly subscription you pay 1.99 euros, in the annual subscription 14.99 euros for the pro version with all features. A “lifetime” license is offered for almost 100 euros. Infuse runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac and Vision Pro.
