The other day, on a trip to Deutsche Bahn ICE, I noticed that my MacBook’s time suddenly hinked for a few minutes. I then saw that the connection to the train WLAN was also interrupted. Is that related?
Actually, the MacOS internet connection is only used for occasional synchronization with the Time server from Apple.
Even without online access, the watch would have to continue to (rarely) a few seconds.
Every now and then the synchronization process swallows, the clock stops for minutes and then goes after.
To remedy the error, it is usually sufficient to restore the Internet connection.
If not, please open the system setting “Date & Time” under “General” and set the switch at “Set” Automatically “on” AUS “at” AUS “, only to reactivate it immediately afterwards.
After that, the problem should be fixed: MacOS gets the current time and has landed again in the present.
