Tip: Use the side preview in Safari on the Mac

When I hold my finger on a link longer on the iPhone in Safari, I see the preview of the website. Is there the function on the Mac? In any case, it doesn’t work by right -clicking.

For safari on the Mac there are extensions such as Hoverseethat include this function.

They show the preview of a page without having to open it.

But it can also be done without a safari extension.

To do this, position the mouse over the link and then press the Control + Command + D. keys.

On the MacBook you can also reach the link preview either with a three -finger tip on the trackpad or by clicking – depending on the system setting (“Trackpad> Looking out & data detection”).
