Tip: Use iPad as a second screen for Macs

I often research in Safari on the Mac and write the results in pages on the iPad, which I also control with the Mac keyboard. Thanks to Handoff, the Mac also shows me the iPad app via Command + tab. Instead of becoming active on the tablet, Pages then opens on the Mac and covers the browser.

Instead of using the iPad as an independent device, you can connect it to the Mac as a second screen.

If you then move the pages window onto the tablet (as a second screen), it will also stay there when you change the app. To do this, tap the Mac system settings under “Display” to the right of the blue arrow next to the “+” sign.

Activate “Mirror or expand to iPad”. The Mac then produces a new desk on the mobile device.

Then open your document in pages on the Mac and drive the mouse over the green button on the top left of the pages window.

In the menu you then see, select “Move on iPad”.

Now you can work in both applications and switch between you without covering yourself.
