Tip: correct accidental image mirroring in Word

When I scale pictures with the mouse in Microsoft Word, they are sometimes mirrored. If I notice that later, I can no longer undo that with Command + Z. I have already searched in vain in the search bar for “horizontal” and “mirrors”. There has to be something like that.

Microsoft does not use the usual term “mirror”, but “tipping”.

However, the search is not very reliable.

Only in the browser version of Word can you find the right commands “Tip Horizontal” and “Tip vertically” via “Tipping”. On the Mac you have to search for “turning”.

You can also achieve the commands in the “Image” menu for the “Turning” symbol in the “Turn” in the “Turn” submenu.

In the browser, the ribbon is simply called “picture”. The “Turning” function is directly accessible here as an unlabeled symbol between “align” and “cutting”.
