A16 chip with core core
About the innovations: Apple exchanged the A14 Bionic for the A16 chip from the iPhone 14 Pro. Unlike there, he only brings three instead of four efficiency nuclei. The performance of the 16-core AI unit (Neural Engine) has even improved by 85 percent. That is enough, together with the still too tight RAM, but according to the manufacturer, not sufficient for the functions of Apple Intelligence. After playing Ipados 18.4, the dialogue did not even appear to set up the AI. Demanding games such as Assassins Creed: Mirage or the Resident Evil series do not run on the normal iPad, but Final Cut Pro and Logic with the basic functions. The iPad 11 feels very quick when writing or surfing and should still perform enough for standard tasks in the next few years.
