The continuing trade war between the US and China does not stop accelerating adaptation processes in more large technology companies in the country of unlimited opportunities. This also happens with Apple, who intend to displace all their iPhone production for the US market to India. This process should end at the end of 2026.
At this point the factories of apple In India, they manage to produce about 50% of all iPhone devices sold in the United States, with the remaining 50% being manufactured in company partners, such as Foxconn in China.
The US market is extremely important for Apple as it represents almost 30% of all global sales of the smartphones of the giant from Cupertino every year. In order to implement this plan, Tim Cook and Company will continue to create new factories locally in India, through deals with their partners such as Tata Electronics.
Currently, Indian Rights are negotiating with the US Department of Commerce on the signing of a bilateral trade and exchange contract, which will further consolidate the close relations between the two countries. This development can also be key to the production of the iPhone there.
Unfortunately, the Apple problem will not be fully resolved. Much of the iPhone parts will continue to be manufactured in Asia, and the temporary exclusion of smartphones and household electronics from the list of new duties of Donald Trump administration is expected to be terminated within 2 months.
