Apple’s Airtags are among the most popular products from the iPhone manufacturer. The small Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband trackers are inexpensive and potentially useful in many ways. But there are also pitfalls and problems. Our large FAQ answers the most important questions and explains what Airtags can and what cannot.

Why is an Airtag better than a cheap Bluetooth key finder?

Open the iPhone app, play the sound on the keychain and track it down after hearing-it works with a classic finder as well as with an Airtag. The prerequisite for both is that the little helper is located in Bluetooth range to the smartphone and audible, i.e. not slipped under a sofa cushion. As a maximum removal, it is possible for 40 meters, but in practice there is usually fewer than half.
