Problems occurred on Sunday of the weekend in the online banking of the savings banks: transactions could not be carried out, since the S-Pushtan app was only dismissed with error messages. This also understood fraudsters as an opportunity and immediately put on a thematically suitable phishing campaign.
On the smartphones of non-savings bank customers, SMS already landed with the message at night: “Sparkasse: Your Pushtan app will soon be running. Update now at:
Fraud filters such as Safe Browsing or the Phishing and Malware protection in Firefox are not yet striking. If you enter your access data on this website, you will pass it on to fraudsters who can cause damage.

The recipient should therefore not click on a link in this message or type the URL and surf, but rather simply delete the message. If you have given data on the fraudulent website, you should change your access fun word, if possible, and contact the responsible Sparkasse as quickly as possible, so that the transactions initiated, for example, can be canceled and, for example, deactivated S-Pushtan apps registered on other smartphones. In addition, an advertisement from the local police station is then recommended.
It is currently not possible to clarify whether the fraudsters actually quickly dealt with the S-Pushtan app with their stitch on the S-Pushtan app or have just caught a time. However, the messages promise to have more success than usual, since on Sunday the weekend, transactions in Sparkassen-Online-Banking could not actually be released with the S-Pushtan app. In the event of several failed attempts, there were even account locks. Those affected should contact their Sparkasse if necessary to arrange for the release of online banking.
