Sony can produce 200 MP sensors for Samsung and Oppo flagships

Sony seems to be preparing to finally enter the big race of a 200 MP camera sensors. They signal this Android Headlines sourcesaccording to which the Japanese giant is likely to provide its premium sensors for some of Samsung and Oppo’s subsequent flagships.

According to the sources of the publication, the upcoming Oppo Find X9 Ultra may be one of the first smartphones on the market to use the new Sony sensor. This would be a significant jump from the current 50 MP sensor we saw with its predecessor.

The sensor is expected to be 1/1.1 ″ or about 14 mm in size, which would mean balanced performance, including good resolution and satisfactory low -light performance.

The information also includes another curious detail – the likelihood of Samsung using the same sensor for its top flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra in 2026. In July there is a rumor that the Koreans are considering replacing their own Isocell HP2 sensor with the new Sony proposal.

The interesting thing about this case is that about a week ago it became clear that Apple chose Samsung as its future partner in the production of the next -generation camera sensors for the iPhone 18 because of Sony’s delay in the development of this business segment.

Of courseBut now, all this remains in the realm of probability, but we can’t wait to find out more soon.
