The development team behind the social gaming platform “Roblox” has announced a new advertising format to give players incentives to watch. So -called Rewarded Video Ads are advertising videos that can be viewed voluntarily. The highlight: If you hold out the full length of the video, you can be rewarded with in-game suggestions.
The new advertising format has the “Roblox” team announced in a blog entry. Responsibility for the implementation of the Rewarded Video Ads lies with the developer of the respective “Roblox” game. “Roblox” is a kind of creative development platform that is made up of numerous game creations of professional developers and from the community. The new advertising format is a way for these developers to make money with their products.
According to the “Roblox” team, Rewarded Video Ads can be up to 30 seconds and are shown in full screen mode. If you see through them, you get tailor-made in-game beefits, for which the developers of the respective “Roblox” game are also responsible. Early tests have shown that over 80 percent of the players completely looks at this type of advertising.
With particularly advantageous rewards, this number has grown to 90 percent, writes the “Roblox” team. As an example of such Rewards, it cites power-ups or in-game currency.

“Roblox” games are played every day by over 80 million people.
