Apple seems to be able to keep his iPhone 17 expected at the beginning of September hardly anymore: According to more precise leaks on the camera technology of the Pro models, one of the models “In the Wild” should now appear for the first time. At least one person claims that on X, who also Corresponding pictures posted has. They allegedly come from San Francisco and were manufactured at the Union Square there. Apple itself is located in Cupertino, but has a lot of employees who live in San Francisco. It cannot be said with certainty whether the pictures are real. However, the well-known Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman gave his place: “Wow. That looks real”, he reacted On the posting.
Not really much to see
The two recordings that the X user called “Fox Pupy”, according to his own information, spreads a musician, show a person with adidas cap and mirrored sunglasses that hold a normal (i.e. already available) iPhone in one and a previously unknown model in the other hand. In which this device, which is apparently in a shell and can be seen from behind, it can be noted that both lidar sensor and lightning are arranged on the far right.
This speaks for Apple’s alleged new arrangement of the camera module over the entire housing width (this is known from some Android models). Furthermore, an area in the top left is kept free, which speaks for Apple’s second camera control button for Apple-according to the camera leaks mentioned, it is also appropriate in order to simplify photography in certain situations.
It wouldn’t be the first time
On a second picture you can see how the person films or photographed the new with the old iPhone. Here you can also see that the shell is quite thick, but not much more. “Fox Pupy” writes in his post that he had just seen a “test development iPhone in the wild”. One of the people, the poster continues, was apparently a security guard who tried to hide the device.
It is generally known that Apple includes test devices so that they can also be checked in public. Such a device was once stolen from a pub. However, the shell that Apple seems to use on the X photo does not seem to hide a lot. The arrangement of Lidar and Blitz alone speak for the new design. However, it is confusing that the person apparently uses the device clearly visible – this is guaranteed not to correspond to Apple’s security standards.
