NOTBOOKLM: Native app ends up on Android smartphones and iPhones

The NotboKlm app is there: As promised, Google released the native apps of the AI ​​research tool NotebooKlm on May 20. Among other things, the application enables Overview of audio to listen to a podcast on iOS, iPados and Android devices.

Like Biao Wang, product manager at Google Labs, in one Blog post for the announcement of the application writes, a mobile app for NotboKlm was one of the “most common inquiries” for the team. At the beginning of April, Google had already confirmed to work on an app that had finally ended up in Google’s Play and Apple’s app store since the beginning of May.

As of the deadline on May 20, Google released it for installation. The NotboKlm app offers functions similar to the desktop version, including the possibility of uploading information sources such as PDFs, websites, YouTube videos and copied text that the app can summarize.

It can also create AI-generated, podcast-like audio overviews that can be played in the background while other things are done on the phone-also offline. During the reproduction of the audio overview, users can also ask questions. The Naving CLAM app is navigated via a lower bar with buttons to the areas of “sources”, “chat” and “studio”.

For The iPhone app requires Google iOS version 17 for the Android variant of NotboKlm at least Android 10 is required.
