More accessories from Apple subsidiary Beats: This time cable

As is known, USB cables are like sand by the sea-and this also applies to iPhone covers. Nevertheless, the Apple subsidiary Beats has been selling the latter since September and now there are also suitable strings. This emerges from listings of various online retailers, the macrumors discovered has.

According to the information, there will be at least three black beats cables that cover most of the application purposes when charging. They are all 1.5 meters long and thanks to the woven “Tangle-Free” coating, that is, difficult to knot. Accordingly, a USB-C-USB-C variant, a USB-C-USB-A cable and a USB-C-C-Lightning cable have now completely exchanged its proprietary interface for USB-C.

Beats advertises the strings as “tested in thousands of hours” and especially reinforced, so that there should not be a fire. The cables are colored black by default and provided with a white beats logo on the plugs. Technically, the strings are very simple: they create a maximum of 60 watts of charging power and USB 2.0 speed if you use them for data (up to 480 Mbps). In addition to black, the beats calls Bolt Black, beige and red tones (“Surge Stone”, “Rapid Red”) are also planned. Supposedly there should even be two packages. The price per piece should land at around 20 euros.

Apple seems to try to further expand its margin -strong accessory business with the new strings. This had already been tried with the beats iPhone covers that exist for all four iPhone 16 models. The polycarbonate covers are sold for 59 euros each. Apple always places Beats a little under the products under its own brand. This is not always the case with the accessories. For an iPhone 16-Pro-Max case made of silicone, you also pay 59 euros at Apple.

Apple had acquired Beats in 2014 and then paid the highest amount to take over the group at the time. In addition to the hardware – especially headphones – the provider's streaming technology was also taken over. She flowed into Apple Music. In the meantime alone, Beats should make a billion US dollar sales a year, probably more.
