Among other things from Outlook.com and Outlook clients, users can currently have problems accessing their mailboxes. Microsoft reports disorders of the end customer cloud systems to which the private customer software accesses.

On the Status website for Microsoft’s Cloud services the current restrictions on the “Microsoft Consumer Products” item can be found. The problem concerns Outlook.com, the Outlook mobile and Outlook desktop client-but it is not only limited to it. As an impact, the Redmonders mean that users are unable to access their mailbox with any of the possible access methods.

The problems have existed since about Wednesday shortly before noon. “We found the cause of the problem and started distributing a correction,” writes Microsoft. “We expect the fix to need a longer period of time due to our ‘safe change management process’.” Those affected should therefore gain access to their emails again in the foreseeable future.

In addition, Microsoft announced that the copilot for private users was also disturbed on Wednesday afternoon: “Users may have been able to experience problems with the chat and picture upload in Copilot”. The engineers have apparently found the cause quickly: “We have successfully distributed a repaired version of the triggering service change.” According to Microsoft telemetry, the problem could be successfully solved.

Cloud systems are always susceptible to disorders. Last week, Microsoft had to grant disorders of the Exchange online access. The problem solution dragged on for days. There was only information for administrators who have increased rights in Microsoft’s communication systems (Microsoft365-Message_Center).
