The time has come on Tuesday: Apple’s iPhone presentation is increasing at 7 p.m. Central European time. As usual from the past five years, the keynote is likely to take place in the form of a recorded video. Selected journalists, analysts and influencers were also invited to Cupertino in order to be able to take a look at the devices for the first time after the event.
The focus this year is on the iPhone 17 series, shouldn’t Apple have committed itself to a name change according to the year as with iOS 26 & Co. Four devices are expected: a standard model as iPhone 17, an iPhone 17 Air with a new form factor and two Pro variants-iPhone 17 Pro and 17 per max. With the iPhone 17 with presumably 6.1 inches, the least should happen: In addition to the somewhat faster A19 SoC, a better camera unit, above all, continues with two sensors on the back, which could have been arranged this time to have spatial recordings this time to to enable. The Dynamic Island on the front could have shrunk slightly.
iPhone 17 Air as highlight
A new form factor is expected in the iPhone 17 Air: the iPhone, which has so far been flatest with 5.5 mm. The 6.6-inch device could narrow the Galaxy S25 Edge in terms of thickness. There is probably only one camera on the back, the battery is rather weak. Apple wants to counteract with AI-supported battery management. It remains to be seen how durable the device will be. Inside, an A19 will probably also work, albeit with fewer cores to save electricity. It is possible that Apple also leaves the SIM card out in Europe, relies entirely on Esims.
iPhone 17 Pro and 17 per max (possibly 6.4 and 6.9 inches) are the fastest new iPhones. You will probably receive the A19 Pro chip. Apple should have a lot of space for the new cameras in its keynote. The new module takes up the entire device width and promises better optical zoom, possibly 8k video recordings. The selfie camera in front should deliver 24 megapixels for the first time. Apple allegedly relies on aluminum as a housing material instead of Titan-unusual for a pro model. The back is only partially made of glass, there should be a, possibly specially colored, area especially for Magsafe and Qi2.2. When it comes to accessories, Apple plans new “techwoven” covers including lanyard attachment and a new Clear Case.
AirPods Pro 3 and new Apple Watch models
Apple should show at least two other product series in addition to the iPhones at the “AWE Droping” keynote. At the Apple Watch, a new Ultra (3) is finally expected, as well as a Series 11 (slight improvements) and a new SE model. The ultra should get 5G and satellite communication for the first time, and it is also hoped for new sensors, possibly finally for blood pressure. The Airpods Pro 3 is again improved ANC, possibly a heart rate recording and a new charging case including touch control. It remains to be seen whether Apple has other surprises in the hindquarters – for example when it comes to AI. New iPads and other devices are also more likely to be expected in October.
