“Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light”: iPhone and iPad remake in the test

Lara Croft is back on iPhone and iPad: in the form of an infusion of a classic adventure from 2010. We looked at what the adventure around the “guard of light” is good.

The background story is quickly explained: in its blind greed, the Warlord Vasco and its gang of grave robbers in the Mexican Yucat'n awakens the demon Xolotl. After hundreds of rest, the god of lightning, death and misfortune wants to subjugate humanity. Fortunately, the agile archaeologist Lara Croft is ready and tries to prevent Xolotl's plans with gun violence. It must find the legendary mirror of the smoke that should banish the God.

In contrast to the classic Tomb-Raider game series, the player does not explore the exotic backdrops in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light from the third-person perspective. Instead, the title represents the game world from an isometric point of view with a firm perspective. The title is more reminiscent of action role-playing games like Diablo. Despite the rigid view, the title impresses with coherent effects.
