iPhone move to India: China makes it difficult Apple

Apple’s attempts to move as large parts of iPhone production to India are still encountered by the People’s Republic of China. Like the IT news service The information reportsSo Apple’s prefabricity is therefore trying to be “creative”. For example, a company in Southeast Asia was registered for the acquisition of necessary production machines by an unspecified Apple partner in order to acquire the equipment. She then landed directly in a Foxconn factory in India, where iPhones are created. This apparently avoided inquiries from the Chinese authorities who have been trying to slow down production relocation for months – for example, with the argument that the machines are “military technology”. In some cases, export dumplings are also to be raised or there is a slowdown in the willingness. The tactic also extends to employees of the Apple-ready, who are said to have been made more difficult for the necessary rivers to India or Vietnam.

Apple intends to produce up to half of all iPhones in India in the future. The process was accelerated by the customs plans of the US government perceived by many companies. The aim is to deduct the entire production of Apple smartphones that are intended for the US market in the next two years. The project is considered to be extremely difficult, especially when it comes to the new introduction of products.

At the moment, Apple can quickly produce new models in India, but has never implemented the overall production, including the central anticipation. Montage in India also does not mean that all components come from the country – many are still produced in China, which in turn could lead to problems with export.

The hope of the iPhone Group is that India always has fewer tariffs than the People’s Republic of China. It is currently not seriously considered to set up iPhone production in the USA, even if the US government hopes and believes that this can be implemented with automation. However, the iPhone production is so complex that it could take many years, some observers consider it impossible even due to the lack of a chain of front. If the components come from China before the US end assembly, they could be covered with tariffs. Together with the costs for automation, this could significantly more expensive the iPhone.

In many cases, the Chinese authorities delayed or blocked the delivery of iPhone equipment to India without giving reasons, the information continues. Sources from the iPhone supply chain would have communicated this. Foxconn, for example, found that the approval times for the export of iPhone production systems from its Chinese factories had increased to India from two weeks to up to four months. In addition, some export applications were rejected without justification.
