iPhone 17e can get a new chipset but not other significant upgrades

Blogger sources confirm that the iPhone 17e will be referred to the A19 chipset, which we expect to see in the basic version of the upcoming iPhone 17. This will be a pleasant upgrade to this year’s proposal, which is eligible for the A18 capabilities.

However, so far, the big innovations will seem to stop at the 17th. It is expected to include the same 6.1 ” OLED display with 60 Hz refresh, 8 GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal memory as its predecessor.

The cameras will probably also remain unchanged and we will again see a 48 MP main sensor on the back, accompanied by a 12 MP selfie camera on the front panel.

Although the alleged changes to the iPhone 17e do not sound too impressive, the lack of big news would allow Apple to continue positioning the device as the cheapest iPhone on the market. And the inevitable fall in the price of this year’s iPhone 16e will mean that the brand will be more accessible than ever.
