The time has come in a good six weeks: Then Apple will present its new iPhone models. Most recently, there were increased rumors about the topics of camera in the Pro models of the iPhone 17, for the suspected price increase and the design of the housing. Now there are more information about the possible coloring and the design of the camera back – and why the latter should now look different than before.
Colorful, colorful, iPhone 17 Pro?
It is already known that iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max should be available in a new, orange-like copper tone. The first dummy models from China have now been received by Leakers to reproduce the new look. If these correspond to reality – which does not necessarily have to be the case with dummies – the design would be much more noticeable than previously expected. So commented Sonny Dickson, who has been known for years, that the new orange is “definitely a bold addition”. The other colors for the Pro models, black, white and a dark blue tone are much more withdrawn.
Dickson knows nothing of a dazzling special paint that Apple is supposed to plan and is supposed to refer to Liquid Glass. The other colors are all quite reserved. In the thin iPhone 17 Air, the dummies show pastel tones in light blue, “steel gray”, white (almost eggshell) and black, on the iPhone 17 they are with additional violet (up to pink) and green somewhat cheeky. Anyone who, which is recommended for avoiding gaps in the case, operates their iPhone in a housing may rarely see the look.
Full width camera recesses
There is also fresh speculations about the camera area that takes the entire housing width in the Pro models. This decision is said not only goes back to design aspects, but has to do with a new zoom image sensor, claims macrumors. In the future, it should optically go into the picture up to eight times, instead of just five times. Sensor cropping is said not to be used.
Various focal lengths are also supposedly intended instead of only the fixed 120 mm from the iPhone 16 Pro. To implement this, Apple supposedly needs more space, whereby the sensors in the previous dummy models are still as arranged as in the iPhone 16 Pro. Only lidar and lightning have moved to the right. But Apple may stuff parts of the electronics into the middle area. The first teardowns have to show whether this is really the case when the devices are available. This can be expected until mid -September.
