iPhone-17 price increase: maybe it is not at all?

The fact that Apple will screw on the price or memory scheme of its new iPhone models is deemed to have been identified among observers. iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max should sometimes be provided with more standard memory, but at the same time also with an inflation. However, at least one of them turns out to be a hidden price reduction.

Plus 50, minus 50

Because: Apple should plan to get $ 1049 in the iPhone 17 Pro in the future, i.e. $ 50 more than the current lowest price for the iPhone 16 Pro ($ 999). For the $ 1049, there should then be 256 instead of only 128 GB, which will be canceled without replacement in the future-which is already the case with the 16-Pro-Max model, which begins with more sensible 256 GB. If you look into the Current price listIt can be seen that Apple is currently demanding $ 1099 for an iPhone 16 Pro with 256 GB. The iPhone 17 Pro with 256 GB for $ 1049 would even be cheaper.

Of course, it can be noted that Apple only deserves more by the fact that the 128 GB model with its $ 999 entry-level price falls out. But at least the new price would be a smaller goodie. It is unclear whether it really happens – Apple could turn the price screw more strongly. Which tariffs of the group is calling is clear when the devices are presented, which will probably increase in early September.

Two “real” price increases

However, where there will be a real price increase according to previous findings, the iPhone 17 per max. According to the lit, the iPhone 17 Pro should cost at least $ 1249 in the future – with 256 GB, even now, as mentioned, the least available storage size. The price of the iPhone standard model is said to be unchanged: iPhone 17 and iPhone 16 cost at least $ 799. The 17 Air, which replaces the iPhone 16 Plus, is re -praised due to the new form factor. Allegedly, Apple wants to have at least 949 dollars for the air with 128 GB – that would be at least $ 50 more than the 16 plus. In Europe, prices are generally higher anyway, and price increases also have a stronger effect.
