The new liquid glass control elements show background content. This sometimes looks chic, but can affect readability. To change this, open “Settings> Operating Aids> Display & Text Size” and Activate “Reduce Transparency”. The operating system then protects controls with a neutral background and minimizes the glass look. Messages on the lock screen, for example, get an “opaque” dark gray background.
