iOS 26 in the company: This is new to Apple’s iPhone operating system

The Apple Business Manager (ABM) is an indispensable tool for administrators. With it they prepare Apple accounts and company devices, assign new devices to an MDM system and distribute app licenses (formerly Volume-Purchase program). The update to iOS 26 enables administrators to register the registration of private Apple accounts on official devices. Users can then only set up these devices with a managed Apple account. This prevents data outflow, for example by synchronizing the desktop of a company Mac to the user’s private iCloud. It also reduces support inquiries about the chaos that sometimes arises when users mix private and official images via the photo app.

The administrator receives the option of viewing a list of personal Apple accounts that are in conflict with the company domain. In this way, he can contact affected employees and support them in the changeover to an managed account.
