On Tuesday night, Apple put the second IOS 26 developer version together with other new betas online. With the new version, the manufacturer accommodates some criticisms that resulted from the first version of the first version, including the clarity of the new surface through the “Liquid Glass” design.
Design and safari
Apple has improved the control center, which has so far been particularly difficult to read in two places. Both the background now seems less than the individual buttons. In practice, this means that the controls can be seen significantly better, although the liquid glass design is no longer implemented quite as consistently. At the same time, Apple also screwed on the “Reduce transparency” function in the settings for the operating aids: if you activate them, the operating system becomes even less glassy.
There are also improvements in Safari, where Apple has brought the button to the old square for creating new tabs and tidy the “more” menu. Apple Music has a new live radio widget (also for CarPlay). Apple has improved the descriptions for the live caption function-interlocutors are informed with a sound. The electricity mode is also explained in more detail.
Ordering tracking in Apple Wallet
Testers have also discovered a new ringtone, the Apple Wallet comes with the announced tracking of orders (for which Siri can also scan e-mails that were not paid with Apple Pay) and the app store now provides information on accessibility of each program (the developers often still have to deliver).
iOS 26 will probably be released in September 2025. The first Public beta of the operating system is to be expected in July. At the moment can only Registered developers Test the new iPhone interface. In addition to iOS 26, Apple also has Second developer betas by MacOS 26, Watchos 26, TVOS 26 and Ipados 26. Among other things, MacOS 26 allows the menu bar to miss a background again to make it easier to read it. Apple has also correctly inverted the icon of the file manager Finder, a small but fine point of criticism.
