iOS 18.4: A look at the beta features-and the German Apple Intelligence

After a long waiting time than usual, Apple released Beta 1 of iOS 18.4 for download on Friday, initially for developers. Despite the late product version, especially because of Apple's step -by -step start of Apple Intelligence – a number of innovations come to the iPhone with the update. Here is an overview of the features that have already been known, plus initial information on the practical use of the Apple AI system in German.

Apple has now released the so -called sketch style (“sketch style”) in its image generation Image Playground, which so far only the Image-wall function in apps such as notes. Apple still does not allow photo -realistic pictures and should not submit this later. The new priority notifications were also activated in Apple Intelligence. This is intended to recognize the AI ​​particularly important notifications itself and to be in a special area of ​​the lock screen so that they are not overlooked.

The function of the so-called e-mail categories-unfortunately not really perfect-ends up on the iPad (with iPados 18.4-and under MacOS 15.4 also on the Mac). She had already reached the iPhone with iOS 18.2. Siri has some new voices for Australian, and completely new Apple intelligence languages ​​have been added German, French, Italian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (short mark format). There is also adapted English for India and Singapore. The first attempts with Apple Intelligence in German meanwhile are mixed up: the summaries of emails and iMessage messages sometimes work quite well, but are also involuntarily funny from time to time. It remains to be seen whether this problem can be solved at all – summary based on very low data quantities.

Another fresh feature in iOS 18.3 is the support for “Ambient Music” in the control center – here you can have different background noise for relaxation, productivity or sleep. Apple has made a change in the display points for access to data protection -relevant features such as camera or microphone: thanks to the black background, these are now easier to see.

In Apple Maps you can now select a preferred language, and the control center shows the current receptionist for mobile phone connections. In Japan you can store the so -called My Number Card, a kind of electronic ID. The Vision Pro app allows apps to be installed directly on the headset and manage it from the iPhone.
