More and more rumors are rotating in the online space associated with the first folding iPhone. So far, we have heard that mass production is likely to start this fall, as well as the potential price we can buy it. However, a new source already reinforces another important aspect of the apparatus – the size of its displays.
According to Taiwanese Agency Trendforce The first folding iPhone will be equipped with 7.8 ” internal and 5.5 ” external display, which is another confirmation of information, hinted at by the analyzer Ming-chi Quo a few months ago. For comparison, Samsung’s current folding flagship – Galaxy Z Fold7 has an 8 ” internal and 6.5 ” external display.
Trendforce also gives an indicative date for the launch of the smartphone, which they believe will happen in the second half of 2026. This coincides with the usual debut of any new iPhone series, so we will probably expect the Apple folding smartphone in September.
One of the attractive forces of the device was expected to be the elimination of the visible fold – a function for which however apple It seems to be overtaken by Samsung and Galaxy Z Fold8.
Kuo’s expectations include a dual chamber system, a selfie camera under display, and the use of the TouchID system instead of Faceid, due to the lack of enough space, at least in the first generation of the device.
