HBO MAX plans a new price raise

Warner Bros. Streaming Platform. Discovery, HBO MAX, can raise its prices very soon, says the CEO of the company David Zaslav in an interview with The Hollywood ReporterS Lastly, the platform updated its prices in Bulgaria with the rebranding of the platform in the summer 2024, and at an international level a little later.

In an interview with the online publication, David Zaslav mentions that the content his company produces, whether it is films, series or streaming projects, is of the highest possible level.

That is why he believes that the streaming service of the company is “much cheaper”, it should actually be, and adds that there will be a planned price raise, but without committing when this will happen and what the size of the increase will be.

Raising prices in the sector is not something surprising. In the last 12 months, this has been done by Disney+, Spotify and YouTube Premium, and of course the biggest losers of the whole situation remain consumers who have to choose more carefully where and how they will invest their money for fun.

In the meantime, it has become clear that Paramount Skydance is drawing up a plan for the potential acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, but candidates in this direction are unlikely to be missing. Other possible buyers include Netflix, Amazon and even Apple.
