Firefox also hides the HTTPS part from URLS and instead rejects unencrypted transmissions.
The Mozilla developers have previously expanded their web browser with tab groups. With them, users can put their open tabs on top of each other via drag-and-drop and summarize them into a group. To do this, a menu opens independently in which users can set a name for the group and assign it a color. As a group, tabs can be moved together in the tab bar or outsourced to a new window. Users can also add or remove further tabs using drag-and-drop.
Finally, the Mozilla Foundation continued to announce to switch off its bookmark service Pocket. Instead, the foundation wanted to concentrate on the further development of the browser. A reinstallation of the add-on is no longer possible, but is still available for existing users. On July 8, 2025, Mozilla hires the service. After that, users remain for three months to export stored bookmarks, notes and articles. Access to service ends on October 8th.
