Discount: Apple sells TV+access for three months

“Severance” in season 2, the most successful show at Apple TV+so far, is through – and Apple is apparently looking for new arguments to win fresh subscribers to the streaming service. In addition to new series such as “The Studio” with hit potential, the iPhone manufacturer is now trying to use discounts. A new offer Bavated TV+ clearly, if only for three months.

As Apple announced on Wednesday, the subscription costs 4.99 euros a month for this period. You have to spend 9.99 euros on a regular basis. The discounted tariff can be booked until April 24th. If the subscription runs, you should set a calendar entry to cancel if necessary if the normal tariff applies again. The discount is also only available for new subscribers; Anyone who is already a customer continues to pay their almost 10 euros per month.

Apple has recently started a big new German -language show: the hospital series “Surf Berlin” plays in a pretty wild Kreuzberg. Before that there was other international material, “Where’s Wanda?” For example (also from Germany), “Midnight Family” and “You would do it too” from Spain or “La Maison” from France. In addition, there are more and more movies with star cast, such as “Wolfs” with George Clooney and Brad Pitt.

Apple invests billions in TV; At the moment it is still completely unclear whether this is actually worthwhile for the group. Apple’s strategy remains to always rely on original content and offer curated old films from time to time, but then disappear from the program again. The standard tariff is still moderate at 9.99 euros, advertising is not available at TV+. Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are significantly more expensive, but also offer a larger repertoire.

TV+ was cheaper at the start than today. It once cost 4.99 euros, then 6.99 euros. In addition, you could use the service for a very long time if you had acquired an Apple product-from Mac to iPhone. Now these trial phases are rare or comparatively short. Apple is also reportedly planning to step onto the brakes (a little) at the content budget, especially since a episode of “Severance” should cost a mere $ 20 million.
