The TCC subsystem takes care of the management of these permissions – for transparency, consent and control (transparency, approval and control). Under MacOS, it even regulates system -related access, such as automation or system volume. IOS/iPados, some of them, allow finely graded access – for example on selected contacts instead of the entire address book.
How TCC works
If an application wants to access a protected area, this triggers a so-called TCC challenge. A system dialog asks if you want to allow or reject access. In the system setting “Data Protection & Security” you can change your decision at any time.
