Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3 and Ultra 3: More health, better mobile communications

This year’s updates affect all watch models. While the Series 11 shines with a new mobile phone standard and blood pressure measurement, the Ultra 3 gets more display area and satellite emergency call. The entry -level model SE 3 is also significantly upgraded with long -awaited functions.

Apple Watch Series 11: 5G and high blood pressure recognition

If you choose a mobile phone variant, it now supports the standard 5G. So far, all predecessors have used 4G LTE radio modems. With the Series 11, the long -awaited blood pressure measurement also moves into the Apple Watch. However, this does not replace a blood pressure monitor. Because the watch does not show exact systolic and diastolic values, but provides trends and changes over a longer period of time.

Apple Watch SE 3: Always-on display, double tip, fast charging

The third generation se has significantly upgraded Apple: it receives the S10 chip from the Series 10. It not only ensures more speed, but also allows some siri commands to be carried out directly on the watch without network connections (On-Device-Siri). He also improves the voice quality of the microphones in phone calls or facetime calls through voice insulation. The chip also complements the double tip gesture that Apple introduced with the Series 9 and Ultra 2. On top of that, the SE can now load quickly.

For the first time, the SE gets an always-on display and can permanently display the time. Also new is a loudspeaker that plays music and podcasts. The SE 3 mobile phone variant also supports 5G mobile radio, such as the Series 11.

The temperature measurement is now also in the Apple Watch SE 3. However, you still have to do without other health functions of the more expensive models, such as the 1-channel ECG, or the pulse oxymeter.

Ultra 3: better readable, satellite radio

After the top model received only an additional fresh housing color last year, the Ultra 3 has real innovations again. On the one hand, Apple has enlarged the visible display surface and faded the screen edge. In addition, the display should now also be easier to read from the side. Apple is now using an LTPO3 OLED with the Ultra 3, which received 10 movement at Series last year.

Like the Series 11, the Ultra supports 3 mobile phone connections over 5G. In addition, she dominates satellite communication for the first time. Like the iPhone 14 and new, you can make emergency calls. In addition, text messages can also be sent, and a Find my function for location is also installed. The runtime should be 42 hours.

Apple Watch Series 11, SE 3 and Ultra 3 are on the market on September 19. You can be ordered from September 9th. The SE 3 has slightly increased in the price, it is now available from 269 euros. The Ultra 3 at Apple costs 899 euros unchanged.
