Apple tests a folding iPad Pro with Face ID under the display

Apple's folding smartphone may be in a more advanced phase, but that doesn't mean that the company doesn't work diligently and on the folding iPad we've mentioned last summer. However, in addition to your pretty big one, you also understand the folding screen, this version of the iPad Pro will also seem to boast of another big addition – Face ID under the display.

According to Digital Chat Station Post in Weibothe current test pieces of the folding iPad Pro include an 18.8-inch screen as well as a “super structured lens” under the display, which includes the receiver and the transmitter needed for the functioning of the Face ID technology.

According to analysts from DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants) Apple plans to launch its folding tablet offer on the market in 2027 while Ming-Chi-Kuo shares that the folding attempts of apple will also include MacBook with a 20.2-inch or 18.8-inch display, whose mass production from LG intends to start at the end of this year.

The integration of Face ID under the screen, albeit in demo, the folding iPad Pro, it says that this type of technology can end up in one of the next generations iPhone preceding tablets, as many experts have been predicting for some time.

In the meantime, working on the folding version of the iPhone is running at full force and if the rumors turn out to be true, Apple may be the first company on the market to solve one of the biggest problems in the segment – the highly visible fold of the display.
