Apple will try to increase Mac’s sales with a brand new MacBook laptop, says Ming-chi Quo. The most interesting thing is that this device will be in the more affordable price segment and will use a chipset not of M, but of the A series characteristic of the iPhone and some iPad models.
The more affordable MacBook will be approximately 13 “display, Kuo says, and the chipset will be A18 Pro, as the iPhone 16 Pro smartphone uses.
In all likelihood, it is a more budget-friendly light task solution, which is likely to be ranked even under the MacBook Air starting at 1199 euros in Europe.
The new model is expected to enter mass production at the end of 2025 or early 2026, so we are expecting it soon. According to the analyzer, this laptop will generate sales of about 5-7 million in 2026, and Apple’s goal is to sell about 25 million laptops for next year-growth over the expected 20 million for the current 2025.
