Apple Pencil: pimped to the “Buntmalstift” for $ 215

The US company Colorware is known for its adaptation of Apple products. The company had recently turned the Mac Mini M4 a retro-macintosh. Now the custom design company also takes care of Apple accessories: after Airpods Apple pencils are different. However, the fun is not cheap: $ 215 each (plus shipping) must be paid.

From the Pencil Pro, which usually costs 150 euros, the Crayon Pro. It is offered in a total of seven colors that make it look like a colored pencil: black (only lace), mint, pink, violet, red, white and yellow. The Pencil Pro itself is obtained from Apple and works as usual. However, the matte coating takes it out of the regular Apple warranty, which takes over colorware. The hardware is compatible with iPad Pro M4, iPad Air M2 and M3 and the iPad Mini A17 per. “Please do not in place,” warns colorware.

Two more funnier variants are that Number 2 Pencil Pro and the Number 2 Pencil. Both are designed like conventional pencils, with a yellow color, suitable lace and “eraser”. The number 2 Pencil Pro corresponds to the Apple Pencil Pro, the number 2 Pencil of the Apple Pencil 2, which is compatible with iPad Pro (generation 3 to 6 of the 12.9-inch model, generation 1 to 4 of the iPad Pro 11 inch), iPad Air 4 and 5 and iPad mini 6.

Colorware emphasizes that the colors are only produced for a short time. Use a multiple coating process including primer and plastic coating. The manufacturer gives a twelve -month guarantee. The delivery to Germany is unfortunately not cheap: In addition to the $ 215, there are still $ 45.29 for postage, possibly plus import sales tax.

The colored pencils and the pencils will be sent for the first time in just under two weeks. If the regular white Apple Pencil is too boring, you can access. It would be nice, however, if Colorware would finally find a German sales that ensures that you have no such high postage amounts.
