Apple management: Are you retired even more top employees?

In Apple’s top management, more and more employees are approaching retirement age – this is extensive. Loud Information from Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman Could this mean that “even more departures” could be due after Tim Cook’s most important man, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Jeff Williams, will withdraw from the company at the end of the year. Gurman writes that he hears “very explicitly” that more farewells from the highest leadership levels “of the iPhone group will occur. Gurman did not reveal who that could be. However, he spoke of “at least one large departure”, which is “next year, if not earlier”.

If Tim Cook really stayed at the top of the Apple-he would be almost 70 years old-he would have a team of retirement age 60+ next to him. This applies, for example, to service boss Eddy Cue (becomes 61), software chief Craig Federighi (should be 57), marketing manager Greg Joswiak (becomes 62) or retail chief Deirdre o’brien (will be 60).

On the other hand, a youthful for Apple conditions are hardware boss John Ternus, who is repeatedly traded as a possible cooking successor (born 75) and the new CFO Kevan Parekh (year of construction 72). Williams direct cooo successor Sabih Khan, on the other hand, is only three years younger than his predecessor.

Apple should spend some tricks and tricks to keep the knowledge of outgoing managers in the company. For example, ex-marketing boss Phil Schiller is still employed for keynotes, events and the App Store (as “Apple Fellow”) and COO Williams remains responsible for design and health projects at least until the end of the year.

Schiller shouldn’t think Gurman should not think of the next departures, because he’s only with one leg in the company anyway. 9to5mac speculates that it is To Cue or Joswiak Could act, because both are as old as Williams. However, there have been no rumors that they want to leave the company in recent times. Joswiak controls the entire marketing process, Cue Apple’s enormously important service business, which continues to grow every quarter.
