The iPhone will be twenty years old in 2027. and Apple will certainly want to commemorate this event properly. In addition to the expected design changes, Apple can surprise everyone with a change in the name of the anniversary edition, reports analyst Heo Moo-yeol.
If the series numbering goes as before, we should see the iPhone 19 in 2027. However, being the twentieth anniversary of the device, Apple plans to jump directly to number 20. The company took a similar move with the iPhone X in 2027.
The anniversary series is expected to include a bezel-less display that, when viewed from the front, will resemble a single piece of glass, creating the illusion of homogeneity and smooth overflow from one part to another.
The Korean specialist also mentions that the iPhone 18 series may not include a base model, and in the fall of 2026 we may only see the next iPhone Air, the two iPhone Pro models and the first foldable model of the Cupertino giant.
In 2027. Apple should finally split its smartphone portfolio into two halves, with the base model of the iPhone 20 and iPhone 18e most likely appearing in the spring, and the fall will be reserved for the iPhone 20 Pro, Pro Max. Air and the second-generation iPhone Fold.
