Apple can use Openai and Antrhopic models to solve Siri’s problems

The smartest version of Siri, which was recently postponed again and is now expected in the spring of 2026, can use AI models of giants in the Openai and Antrhopic sector to reach the required quality and level of performance, shares Mark GurmanS

According to journalist sources, Apple has asked the two companies to train their own models with the ability to use the cloud security system the apple, which uses the chipsets of its own production. Following the tests, the giant of Cupertino will eventually decide to turn to the long run.

Currently, Apple Intelligence is already using Chatgpt for part of its features and the assistant has systemic integration into iOS. However, the use of external technology for the sophisticated Siri version would be a big surprise and a big blow to Apple’s AI ambitions developed by itself.

Outside of Chatgpt integration into Apple Intelligence, most AI features in iOS use Apple technology, but they have more modest ambitions and potential application. Integration of external AI models into Siri would work on the Galaxy AI principle, where much of the architecture is based on Gemini.

The next generation of Siri is expected to upgrade to iOS 26.4, which should be ready for widespread distribution in the spring of 2026.
