Apple announces new iPad Pro with M5 chipset, fast charging and even better connectivity

The new iPad Pro, which pre-premiered on YouTube, has now been officially shown to the world after Apple surprisingly announced several new devices today, one of which is the new generation MacBook Pro with the M5 chipset.

Speaking of chips, this is among the main topics along with the new iPad Pro, which includes as many as three new chips – the M5, C1X and N1, which help it be Apple’s tablet are the best performance to date.

Let’s start with the M5 chipset, which already includes up to 10 cores divided into four performance cores and six efficiency cores. It also contains a next-generation GPU with one NPU in each of its cores. This, according to Apple, will bring up to 3.5 times better work with AI processes compared to the previous model.

The second new chip in the iPad Pro is the C1X modem developed by the Cupertino giant, which brings with it up to 50% better performance when using mobile data, as well as a significant improvement in energy efficiency.

Last but not least, is the N1 network chip, which allows support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. According to Apple, this will contribute to improving overall performance when working with 5G networks and more reliability when using the Personal Hotspot and AirDrop functions.

However, the innovations do not stop there. The company’s new premium tablet also boasts a much faster internal memory, the transfer of which now reaches 150 GB/s – almost a 30% increase over the previous generation. Separately, the 256GB and 512GB internal storage options now come with 12GB of RAM.

We conclude with two more key novelties – support for fast charging, which allows you to reach 50% battery in just 30 minutes, as well as the ability to connect to external displays with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and support for Adaptive Sync.

The new generation of iPad Pro is already available for pre-order in black and white, and its sale will start in exactly one week – on October 22.
