Apple advertises Apple Intelligence again – with existing features

Last year Apple had set itself into the nettles with a special advertisement for Apple Intelligence: In September, a AI function was advertised on American television and on YouTube, which was only to be released in spring 2025. But it is now clear that it will be nothing: the so -called personal context for the voice assistant (alias “context -sensitive siri”) has been postponed to the coming year, since Apple was unable to implement the feature technically in good time. Accordingly, the advertising contained a lot of imagination, which in the meantime resulted in several collecting lawsuits from iPhone 16 buyers because they feel prayed by Apple.

Nevertheless, Apple has now started to advertise Apple Intelligence (and thus the iPhone 16). However, the function now highlighted has already been working properly and has been part of the iPhone operating system on devices that have mastered the group’s AI system since iOS 18.1.

The new clip called “Clean up Photos: Flex” Treats the function contained in the photo app, with which content can be removed from images afterwards-such as unwanted background elements. The feature was introduced with the third beta of iOS 18.1 in August before it was made public at the end of October. It still doesn’t work completely perfectly, but competing functions such as those made of Google’s image processing is at least equal.

However, there was also criticism that Apple limits the function to Apple-intelligence-capable models: At the beginning of iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, now iPhone 16, 16 plus, 16 per and 16 per max and iPhone 16E. Older models are also efficient enough to do such image editing, which one in various Special appsthat can also be found in the App Store. Apple’s new Apple intelligence advertising shows a man who can be photographed by his mother in muscle posing. Finally, he realizes that the woman can be seen in a mirror placed behind him. The clean-up function (“Cleaning photos with a tap”) saves the day. “Apple Intelligence on the iPhone 16” is said at the end.

After the announcement, Apple had to postpone the context -sensitive siri, the said advertising clip (Version on x) deleted by YouTube. It was seen in it a British actress who, thanks to Apple Intelligence, remembered a person who had met her some time ago.

Apple also had to postpone two more AI functions: the opportunity for Siri to access and interact with them with them, as well as a new API with which developers should be able to open their apps to the voice assistant.
