Airtag alternatives in the test: It doesn’t always have to be Apple

There are two designs for Bluetooth trackers on the market: on the one hand, small buttons (“tags”) or trailers that are placed on the keychain or stowed in a bag. On the other hand, cards that are about as thick as one and a half to two EC cards. They fit well in the compartments of a wallet and find space in a laptop bag inconspicuously.

All trackers in this test field move their electricity via batteries. With the tags, the manufacturers rely on type CR2032 button cells, which can often be changed without tools and quickly. For reasons of space, either permanently installed batteries or non -changeable batteries are used for the cards. If you discover a strange tracker with you, you can always deactivate it. With the key fans you take out the battery, with the check cards you press a film switch for a long time on one side.
