Apple introduced the third generation of its most popular in-ear listeners of Airpods with ANC. The listeners receive better ANC, but also new smart functions.
In the design, Apple is based on the predecessors: the Airpods Pro 3 have a white plastic housing with a short bridge that houses microphones. In the ear, the listeners hold with interchangeable attachments that seal the ear canal. The cushions are now padded with foam and should stay better in the ear than before. The listeners are protected against sweat, dust and splash water according to IP57 protection class.
Live translation
The Airpods Pro 3 now use Apple Intelligence and support live translations: The function is activated with a gesture. The live translation is also displayed on the coupled iPhone.
Pulse knife
There are now optical heart rate knives in the AirPods Pro 3. These sensors record the pulse of the wearer via infrared. Apple subsidiary Beats already used the technology in Powerbeate 2 at the beginning of the year. The Apple Watch also uses a similar system. The heart rate can be called up in fitness apps, the values are synchronized with the Health.App.
Better battery life, the same price
Apple claims to have increased the battery life against the predecessors; Instead of 6 hours, the listeners should now hold 8 with a load.
The Airpods Pro 3 cost $ 249. The listeners can be pre -ordered from Apple from September 9th, they will be traded on September 19.
