Apple’s Airpods Pro of the second generation, which are on the market in the recent version with USB-C connection in September, still deliver solid paragraphs, according to market researchers. Nevertheless, the iPhone manufacturer will promptly add a third series if you believe the last information from the rumor mill. It is therefore conceivable that the Airpods Pro 3 together with new Apple smartphones will be presented in just under a month.
Anc and health
One of the expected new functions is a newly improved noise suppression (Active NOISE CANCELLATION, ANC), such as a Leaker on x had already predicted last year. To this end, Apple is likely to install a new generation of the H2 audio chip. Design adjustments are also expected in the case of both the housing and the plugs themselves, although so far there are no more detailed statements or even mockups.
When it comes to health sensors, the Airpods currently have no hardware on board, Apple’s under brand Beats alone comes with the Sport-Stockel Powerbeats Pro 2 for the first time with heart rate measurement. Such could also end up in the Airpods Pro 3, and at least there was already speculation, a body temperature measurement. The latter have so far dominated various models of the Apple Watch, but only changes in a “Baseline” are always determined here, but not detailed temperature values.
Apple operates model maintenance
Apple tends to regularly supply older AirPods models with new firmware. In this way, AirPods and Beats models can be switched off automatically in the future when sleep is detected. You can operate AirPods by nod and shaking my head, and Apple has turned the plug -in heard a hearing aid. With iOS 26 and Co. A live translation function would be conceivable for the AirPods Pro 3-possibly one later software update.
In the meantime, new models of the regular AirPods are probably not to be expected. Apple only launched this in Generation 4 last September. If you are waiting for new Airpods Max, you will probably also be disappointed. Apple has left almost unchanged in 2020, only one USB-C connection (including USB-C audio and Lossless) was added last year.
