In addition to new iPhones and computer watches, the innovations that Apple could present on September 9th at the “AWE Droping” keynote also include new AirPods per third generation. New information about possible hardware designs now come from Asia. It is about the charging case, i.e. the charging cover of the ANC earplugs.
Touch area for operation
Leaker “Majin Bu”, which was already correct in the past and had recently spreading real information about Apple’s new sleeve strategy, speaks in a contribution from this week From a “new design”. While earlier rumors that Apple reduces the housing size is supposedly not apply, it is probably saved on the button: As with the AirPods 4, the case is now to be used a touch area.
This is supposed to not only serve the pairing, but also tax options such as volume setting and music playback should also be given on the charging shell, which would be a novelty. The support for lanyards and suitable insists is preserved. The plugs themselves should hardly change optically.
Health sensors and above all better ANC
The expected new functions include further improved noise suppression (Active noise cancellation, ANC). To this end, Apple is likely to install a new generation of the H2 audio chip. Health sensors currently do not have the Airpods on board, Apple’s sub-brand Beats alone comes with the Sport-Stockel Powerbeats Pro 2 for the first time with heart rate measurement. Such could also land in the Airpods Pro 3 – at least there was already speculation, a body temperature measurement.
While the pulse shows a real value, only deviations could be displayed at body temperature. This is already the case with the Apple Watch. Apple had recently overtaken its regular Airpods. The AirPods 4 is available for the first time with ANC, if only optional and at an additional charge. In contrast to the Pro, they are not in-ear models, the plugs are in the ear and can therefore be easier to find out, which does not work well with every ear form.
