Adobe publishes Photoshop for the iPhone

Adobe brings his image editing Photoshop on mobile devices. A version is now available for the iPhone. An Android version is to follow in the course of 2025. Together with the apps, Adobe also offers a Photoshop on the web.

The iPhone photo shop imports photos from Lightroom or directly from the device memory. It also works with the app for social media design Adobe Express and the Mal app Fresco.

The free version supports basic functions of Photoshop such as levels and masks. In addition to the area repair tool (“Spot Healing Brush”), the Firefly functions “generative filling” for the retouching of marked image areas and “generative extends” are also on board to fill up the work surface beyond the existing image material. According to Adobe, users can also integrate free pictures from Adobe Stock into their documents.

Some tools are only available for paying customers. Only aboconal can change from mobile Photoshop to the web version. In a closed beta phase, Adobe also tests live cooperation on documents.

Also in the subscription, the quick selection tool and the AI-based object and background masking can also be used. Rectangular and lasso selection are also represented in the mobile version. In addition to the brush tool, the AI-based removing tool, the clone stamp and the content-based filling (“Content Aware Fill”) can also be found here. The text tool gives access to 20,000 Adobe Fonts. In addition, ABOUDEN can be made of clearing modes as well as tools for lightening and darkening.

Adobe also calls “extended Firefly tools”. This should mean the elements generated from Photoshop for adding, for which you promptly enter you. The subscription includes 100 image creations per month.

The basic version can be used free of charge. So-called premium functions are only available in the subscription. It also entitles you to access the web version. Adobe names a monthly price of $ 7.99; The euro prices are usually slightly above.
