Adobe has published model 4 of its image generator. It is now available in the Adobe Firefly web app and is intended to create more detailed pictures than its predecessors. Adobe also develops a Firefly app for Android and iOS. However, the manufacturer did not yet name a release date.
Virtual work surface to find ideas
The focus of the Firefly Image Model 4 is on the work surface. Compared to other image generators, the service is still missing an overview of previously generated images. Adobe has published the “Boards” work area in beta version for ideas. Generated pictures can be arranged, grouped and aligned on a free area.
As before, users can select the model used in the control panel for the prompt area. Take Firefly Image 2 and 3, the variants 4 and 4 Ultra are now available.
The menu shows other AI models below the entries for Adobe technology. The Firefly service now integrates image generators of third-party providers such as Openai GPT, Google Imagen 3 and Flux by Black Forest Labs from Freiburg im Breisgau. Further image generators from Luma, Pika and Runway are to follow.
