Sales of the iPhone 16e launched a little over two weeks ago have already entered some reports and IDC shared the first data on the model's presentation. It turns out that the initial sales of the new model are ahead of those of its predecessor iPhone SE (3), which was launched in 2022.
As many as 60 percent are sales of the iPhone 16e in his first three days on the market compared to those of his spiritual predecessor iPhone SE (3), according to the IDC report. This achievement is even more significant against the backdrop of the higher price-the new model came out for $ 599 starting, while the previous one started at $ 429.
However, it is expected that Apple will not be able to cope with the raising iPhone's sales as a whole in China. There, the new model will find it difficult to have an alternative to budget models with Android, as it has a higher price, offers only one camera and has limited AI capabilities. In fact, Apple Intelligence is yet to be released in China.
In addition, the Chinese government has poured over $ 41 billion to stimulate the economy, which has helped to better sell local brands such as Xiaomi and Vivo, Bloomberg reports.
Therefore, the prognosis is that iPhone sales in China will fall by 2% for the entire 2025.
In other major markets, however, such as India, for example, is the iPhone 16e's expectations to generate one fifth of all iPhone sales in the second half of the year. In addition, the effect of the new iPhone 17 series, which sets a more serious design change, as well as a brand new model with an ultra-ultra-profile profile is yet to be seen.
