Apple AirPods will receive real -time translation feature

Apple works on a brand new functionality for its AirPods wireless headphones that will allow translation from one language to another in real time, shares BloombergS The innovation is expected as part of the major changes scheduled for iOS 19 and will be introduced through a software update for the headset later this year.

The process will be relatively simple. When you have a conversation with a person who speaks a language other than yours, your iPhone will be able to detect the tongue, translate it in real time, and you can hear what the other side is trying to tell you through your headset. Your answer will also be able to be translated in a similar way and put through your smartphone speaker.

To this end, at the software level, the iPhone will use the system Translator's system application of iOS, which the company will try to significantly improve with the upcoming update to iOS 19. At present, Apple translation application offers similar functionality, but its integration directly into AirPods will certainly help it to use it.

It is not known so far whether the real-time translation option will be exclusive to the AirPods Pro 3, which we expect to see later this year or will be available to other models in the series. However, we highly doubt such an option related to the accessibility of the Apple ecosystem to be locked behind the purchase of a brand new device.
