Fundamental changes are set to the iPhone, iPad and Mac software platforms, Bloomberg Mark Gurman reports. This will not only include a brand new vision for the interface, but also generally rethinking how users interact with iOS, iPados and MacOS operating systems.
The iOS 19 will be the most serious update of the iPhone's iP 7-here operating system, Grman announced, stating that this time this is not just new icons, colors and animations. This is a “fundamental reconstruction,” says the journalist, with it affecting applications, icons, windows, buttons and system navigation.
The main changes are based on or at least inspired by Visionos, which is used by Apple's extended reality glasses, and the goal is to make the company's various software platforms even closer to each other. More interesting – these changes will prepare Apple's software for the “new generation of users”, whatever that means.
The transformation of the iOS 19, iPados 19 and MacOS 16 will start this year, with the first news likely to learn during the WWDC 2025 Developer Conference in June.
